Landry is 3 years old and has the sass to prove it. She is silly and fun. She loves her sisters and being on the go outside. She is determined and tougher than anyone I have ever known. We love life with our Landry Lou... but there isn't a day that AHC doesn't touch. 

When Landry gets the giggles we have to calm her down to make sure she doesn't become paralyzed. Transitions into different environment usually result in 5-10 minutes of full body paralysis. In the evening we watch her eyes closely for fast and unpredictable movement, rushing to get her to sleep at the first signs to avoid dystonia and possible seizures. This is why we race. 

For over 25 years, the AHC Foundation has been in the race to treat or cure AHC for all our AHC kids. It has been a long race, and the foundation has covered much ground by taking many steps toward that goal. 

The AHC Foundation works to provide our community support and hope. Funding RESEARCH from small studies to gene discovery, to collaboration on landmark gene therapy that holds much potential; providing EDUCATIONAL resources to families through support groups, introductions to physicians, and our website; SUPPORTING FAMILIES through our support group, biennial family meetings, and availability of volunteers for crisis; are all ways the AHC Foundation works to END AHC.
