Emma is excited to share some news. After 15 years of hosting the AHCF Chicago Walk with the Andrasco family, we're moving to the digital age. Yup, that's right we are now hosting a Virtual Walk to benefit the AHC Foundation.
For 15 years, countless supporters came out to Downers Grove, Lake Zurich, Hawthorn Woods and Barrington. Supporters not only came from Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Indiana, Michigan and Iowa. But traveled long distances from Tennessee, Texas and California.
We were also fortunate to have doctors, nurses, therapists, teachers, bus drivers and personal aides come out to the walk. They added to the festivities coordinated by a truly dedicated staff of volunteers. Our families and friends worked so hard to help present a wonderful day in honor of Emma and Kiley.
Now, we are continuing our efforts to raise money for AHC research by participating in a virtual walk. We're continuing to volunteer time to the AHC Foundation by serving on the board of directors and providing service to the community. We're continuing to be hopeful that a treatment to improve the quality of Emma's life is in reach. The foundation is supporting research right now at Harvard and Northwestern Universities that will make a huge push forward towards real help. With everyone's combined efforts, we will make it happen.
For the next two weeks, we are asking friends and family to donate to the 2022 AHCF Race to End AHC!
From now until October 2nd, donations to help fund research into a treatment or cure for AHC can be made online or by mail.
